This special collection on ‘Drivers of Conflict and Instability in Nigeria’ gathers research from leading scholars and practitioners to discuss key topics regarding conflict, security and development in Nigeria. The articles in this special collection provide new evidence and research findings on significant challenges to peace and stability, including on corruption, land conflicts, militants and rebel groups, Boko Haram, security governance, state capacity, state building, and more.
This special collection aims to generate new insights and a better understanding of the causes and drivers of insecurity and instability in the country through problem-driven and empirically-rich research. Today, given the ongoing peace building and state building challenges in Nigeria, this special collection is especially relevant.
